Electrolux is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. So get ready for some innovations and products from their DesignLab. In the meantime, check out the new Electrolux barbecue island, which focuses on grilling as a friendly affair and makes cooking so much fun! The freestanding island EGL9000X is a higher-end model from the new range, and is designed to become a focal point of your outdoors. The grill offers superior features to meet any barbeque needs. It features different cooking surfaces for different dishes, a self-cleaning surface and insulated drawers that keep food fresh and drinks cold. The stainless steel grill construction is complemented with the FSC certified wooden bar surrounding the barbeque, so your guests are able to lounge around freely. The state-of-the-art design is available in different styles to complement any garden setting. The island barbeque has three cooking surfaces made of solid cast iron to cater to varying barbeque needs: open griddles for everyday grilling, closed griddle to prevent greasier foods from dripping on the burners and even a flat teppanyaki.

The four-burner grill is extremely easy to use with electronic ignition and individually controlled burners. They are fitted with ceramic deflectors which have a self-cleaning effect; each time the burners are lit the flame burns off grease residue from previous use. The EGL9000X (featured here) is the priciest at $5,130 while the two-burner EGL6000X model is priced at $4,251.
